OUR TEAM

Pedro, hailing from Porto, fell in love with this area of Portugal when he was a teenager, which saw him return for holidays until he had finished his degree in Tourism, majoring in Tourism Management, when he decided to move permanently to the south. Throughout the 12 years he has lived in and around Aljezur, his fun loving, easy going personality has lead him to develop a great repor throughout the area. His varied work experience has also lead to him meeting and building strong business relationships and friendships, leading to him becoming a real pillar in the community, both in the foreign and Portuguese communities with young and old alike.

 

Joel comes from Almada, Lisbon, and discovered the Southwest Algarve region in the 90s through his passion for the sea and surfing. It was through a longing for the Aljezur area that he decided to leave his job in Lisbon, and head to the south with his young family 15 years ago. He has a wealth of experience in various areas which gives him a well rounded work style both as a sales agent and providing an excellent customer service when working with clients. His work experience includes working for a construction company, the Aljezur post office, a real estate sales agent in Lagos and in São Teotônio, and in addition, he was a sales agent for of an electronic security companies for 8 years. His dream was always to work locally in Aljezur, so in 2015 he opened a restaurant in Arrifana which was a great success. However, the taste for real estate and working as a sales agent spoke louder, and so he accepted with great satisfaction to be part of the Guthrie Rocha Properties family in 2018.

 

Jemma moved to Portugal in 2010 from her home country of New Zealand. After years of travel she fell in love with Portugal, especially the south west coast and Aljezur. With a degree in Commerce, majoring in Marketing Management, together with varied work experience, Jemma takes the reigns in the office operations, as well as part of the sales team.

 

Karl came first to Costa Vicentina in 2012 and immediately fell in love with the region. He decided to leave busy Berlin and move to less busy Bordeira and lead a life in the rural countryside of West Algarve. Because of his own project of rebuilding and reestablishing an old farm house and land he is experienced in all the chances, risks, restrictions and possibilities regarding the purchase of rural properties/ country houses/ farm estates/ ruins.

 

Hugo also comes from Lisbon and has known the Aljezur area since his childhood with many holidays spent here as a child. In 2005 he decided to move to Aljezur, leaving behind his position as a social worker where he worked with at risk children. Fully embracing his new lifestyle in the southwest, with already a big passion for the ocean as he had previously been conducting surf lessons alongside his social work. Once in Aljezur he worked for 11 years as a sales agent in the wine and food industry, which allowed him to gain a wealth of knowledge about the region, as well as meet a large amount of local people. He then spent four years as the head coach of a local surf school, as well as guiding mountain bike tours in the region. This large amount of various experience, together with his passion for communication and incredible customer service, and his importance of creating lasting relationships with people, led him to make a fantastic addition to our young and dynamic team.

 

Charlotte, from the South Coast of England, has enjoyed her successful career in real estate for the last 17 years, mainly in the exclusive area of Sandbanks, Dorset UK and has obtained a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding within the business in that time.
